I'm afraid the content of your message is just as "blank":)

You've not indicated what version of Word, what operating system or anything
else that would enable someone to offer any suggestions. It's not even clear
whether you're using a Macintosh... or Word for that matter, which is the
news group you've posted to. If you are using a Mac please supply some
pertinent detail including what's mentioned above as well as an indication
of what else has changed since "it worked before".

If you're using a Windows system you'll find access to the right groups at:

Just 'cause (s)he typed 'mac' in all lower case, doesn't mean it's a
Windows user Bob.

AK. It is all a matter of the printer driver and the flavour of Mac OS
X (mumble). iSteve can't leave those dialogs [1] alone for 15 seconds
without getting withdrawal symptoms. Maybe that's what sent Apple's
share price down the tubes. The market thinks its cancer, but we know
he hasn't had a chance to change the print dialog.

It is worth rummaging in all the variations hiding behind 'copies and
pages' or whatever the default du jour is in the print dialog
straddling the horizontal line.

Here, I get bits of that in "paper handling", "paper feed", "paper feed
options" and "print quality".

Totally OOC (That's my TLA of the day - Out Of Control)

It varies as a function of OS X version, Printer, Printer Firmware and
Printer Driver.

Try a little triage. Does the problem stay with Word? What happens if
you choose another printer (PDF and "Any Printer" spring to mind)

Sorry, totally useless advice.
1. Note the inconsistent pondian-ness of the spelling. I blame the
rather OK West Australian Merlot I have just got outside of.

Ah, my dear Elliott, how true - but my fingers are too numb from the 12.1
aftermath to be chasing symptoms with nothing more to go on... Plus the fact
that the source is @discussions.microsoft.com which is so frequently an
indication that Clyde turned right rather than left.

Heh! Mine are too tangled up from typing stuff like Control-C
Meta-Enter in emacs, which I'm trying to get better at - while Word
sorts itself out.

I have decided that emacs is an acronym for "extremely masochistic
activity for senior citizens" (with added dyslexia).

...and that I have plenty of time to learn it before Word goes sane
again.

I haven't had that many cheat-sheets on my desk at once since writing
RSX-11 apps in Macro-11 and Fortran 4.

I just thought s/he was making history -- the first Mac query to be made via
discussions@microsoft...
