paragraph spacing

Hello,

I have trouble with paragraph spacing and image boxes. It looks fine in the
word doc, but when I paste it into an HTML editor I get <p
class="MsoNormal">. Instead of a picture, I am getting: <p
class="MsoNormal"><span style="">
<o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
<!--[if gte vml 1]><v:shapetype id="_x0000_t202"<br> coordsize="21600,21600"
o:spt="202" path="m,l,21600r21600,l21600,xe"><br> <v:stroke
joinstyle="miter"/><br> <v:path gradientshapeok="t"
o:connecttype="rect"/><br> </v:shapetype><v:shape id="_x0000_s1026"
type="#_x0000_t202" style='position:absolute;<br>

</tr><br> </table><br> <![endif]></v:textbox><br> <w:wrap type="square"/><br>
</v:shape><![endif]

Any ideas on how to get rid of that?? Paragraph spacing is set to zero...

Any help would be greatly appreciate!

Thank you

what exactly are you expecting to get?

If you want to get as clean HTML code as Word is going to produce, use
it's filtered HTML export, and make sure you use no direct formatting
(or only direct formatting ...).

Thank you!

I guess I should have been more clear. the <p
class="MsoNormal"> tags are causing extra spacing in my article submissions
and I just can't seem to get rid of the spaces regardless what setting I
change in Word. You mentioned it has a filtered HTML export. That might just
work, but where is that in Word 2007? (Sorry, I just recently switched over
from an ancient microsoft works program.)

off the top of my head, I'm not even sure whether this is an equivalent
to Word's style ("Normal") or something else. Have you checked that the
style itself doesn't have a spacing after set to begin with (default in
2007).

Believe me, we all had a steep learning curve there! :)

Office Button | Save as | Other formats should get you there.

Hi Robert,

Yes, I have already taken out all of the extra spacing, which is the
confusing part. It looks completely fine until I copy/paste into the HTML
editor. I also checked the "Do Not Add HTML automatic spacing." I thought
that would have fixed it for sure. Others I know don't have this problem
which tells me it must be a setting that I am simply not seeing. I will
definitely try the HTML filter.

Thank you for all of your help!! It is greatly appreciated.
