Password Help

This is probably an old story, but it's new to me.

I protected several Word documents with a password to keep prying eyes away
-- and now I can't remember the password.

I am the authorized owner of this software. Is there anything I can do to
recover these documents?

The password encrypts the document - you will not get past that without the
password. If it was easy there wouldn't be any point in having it. There are
password cracking software packages available, but they can take a *very*
long time to run. Don't be fooled by the demos that work on four digits
only.
