paste link from excel to ppt

I have Excel and PPT 2003. When I paste_special, paste_link a Worksheet
Object for a range in Excel to PPT it looks good at first. But when I save
the PPT, the letters/numbers change size (letters overlap in my case).

What do I need to do to retain the settings from Excel?
