Hi

The simple answer is Yes most people here know how to do this but also that
anyone who does will also know enough about access to know not to do it.

So, don't put your images into your database, or your DB will be become very
big very quickly. In fact the size may detract from the applications speed
and basically make your DB unworkabe.

The best idea is to create another file or folder and then link your
database records to this.

You need to give some more information to get a better answer.

Do you want to link a picture to a record, has each record got more than one
picture, when do you ant to display the pictures - on a form in a report -
how will you identify which pisture reates to which database record,
etc
etc

Wayne,

If I had a bunch of .pdf files in the same directory as the database, how
would they be opened, with Adobe or can Access show the pdf itself??
The ones I am thinking about can range from from 40 to several hundred
pages
in one pdf.
98% of the time I work with 2 queries. Can one field in a record point to
the pfd and open from the query?

TIA
