Michael,
Since you asked this in the graphics group for Word (so I assume your
PDF files aren't long text documents):
Our commercial pdf2vector software batch converts PDF to a number of
scalable and editable vector graphics formats, including WMF and EMF
for use in MS Office applications like Word and PowerPoint. Vector
graphics, raster images and font text strings are all supported and
preserved as such in WYSIWYG layout. Multi-page PDF files are
converted to multiple single-page output files. You can import WMF or
EMF files into your documents via Insert...Picture...From file...
Keeping graphics in a vector format means that you'll get optimal
display quality on screen at any size or zoom level, they'll print at
maximum resolution to any printer, and you can fully edit both
graphical objects and text strings using the Word drawing tools.
pdf2vector is mostly used for things like technical drawings, business
diagrams, plots and forms. It's available as a simple desktop tool on
Windows, but also in batch/developer configurations and on Linux/UNIX
platforms.
If interested, the fastest way to give it a try is simply to send me
one of your PDF files via email. I'll send you back the EMF results
along with further information.
Hope we can help!
