PDF files and Word

You may be able to copy and paste text from a PDF file, if the PDF is not
protected against copying. If it is you'll need OCR software.

I've tried to copy & paste but it won't let me. I guess I'll have to find
the OCR.

Did you click on the Select Text tool before trying to select and copy?
