Help
We have a PDF document that needs to be transposed into a Word. Is there a way to do this?

G'Day Rebecca,

If you have a scanner, then investigate the OCR
software that came with it.

I use ABBYY FineReader v7, which will open a
PDF file as an 'image'(!) and 'recognise' all the
text and formatting.

A standard feature is to then Save to Word (or Excel etc).

If you have the full version of Acrobat version 5 you can save to RTF, which
Word will open. You'll certainly all the text, and at least some of the
formatting. I'm told that Acrobat Version 6 has a Save as Word option.

If you just need to extract the text, install a generic text printer on port
FILE:. Print the document to that and you will get a .PRN file, which is
plain text and can be opened in Word.
