personal folders password prompt

when i open outlook, i get the prompt for my password. if
i enter it all is fine and i get into outlook. buuut i
cannot cancel it. as many times as i hit cancel, it keeps
coming up. many times a program will automatically try to
open outlook and i dont want to. how can i keep the
password prompt screen from coming up a second, third etc
time after i hit cancel the first time? ctl alt del
doesnt even work..
