I am, unfortunately, using Microsoft Outlook 2003. It's
terrible!
I am trying to set up a very very simple stationery, just
something with our logo in the upper lefthand corner.
Simple, right? No, not with MicroSoft. Try flat-out
impossible.
I have tried creating an HTML document (it doesn't
retrieve the image), creating a new image (it tiles it
instead of stretching it, which makes the image
background option useless for every forseeable
application), even scanning in our letterhead (it either
tiles it or, because I used another deeply flawed
Microsoft application--image composer--it makes it really
really huge, even thought I told Image Composer that it
was letter size)
I can't even think of a reason why anyone would EVER want
a tiled image as their email background, let alone ALL
THE TIME WITH NO ALTERNATIVE? That is phenomenally
stupid. Not only is it the default, but there is no
visible way to change the default to the ONLY logical
setting (stretch, rather than tile) for any forseeable
application. I mean, this is stupid, even for MicroSoft
and that's saying a lot.
Is there a way around this horrendous MicroBlunder? I
got some results on a search for this, but no responses
came back and, when I looked manuaully, the messages were
missing (probably embarrassing to Microsoft because they
can't fix it.)
