With the Front Page Photo Gallery component you don't
have too many options ... only those listed on its menus.
If I understand your question (the words "open on a
specific page template" are a bit confusing to me), you
want to be able to click on the thumbnail and have your
photo show up in a full size page of your design. If this
is what you want, you would have to setup your own
photogallery with thumbnails on an "index" page and each
of the full sized photos on their own page of your
design. Use a hyperlink to link the individual thumbnail
to its corresponding larger image.
