photoelements 5 opens by itself

working in publisher 2003 document with photos, adobe photoelements 5.0 keeps
opening by itself. At least I am not aware that I am calling for it. How do I
stop this behavior?

Did you embed the photos? What is the format of the pictures? Did paste the
pictures from PhotoElements?

Hi Dick M
Try to look under the Add-ins option. It could be an Add-In. [Tools >
Add-ins] . If Listed under the Add-in option uncheck the option or you can
remove the same ( would suggest you uncheck the option). Close and then trry
to open the publication once again.

Yes the photos are embedded.In some cases, they came from photoelements but not always
