picture doesn't appear on page but will print

WHEN ATTEMPTING TO INSERT A PICTURE INTO A BLANK PAGE FROM EITHER "INSERT"
FROM THE TOP BAR OR "PICTURES" FROM THE SIDE BAR A FRAME IS OUTLINED ON THE
PAGE BUT NO PICTURE APPEARS. IF I PRINT THE PAGE IT WILL PRINT THE PICTURE
BUT I AM UNABLE TO SEE IT ON THE PAGE. THIS JUST STARTED YESTERDAY AND I
DON'T KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM.
