Pictures not showing up

I am trying to open a powerpoint presentation using
version 2003. The presentation was created on 2000. When I
open the file none of the pictures show up?
How do I fix this? I think it is a setting problem but I
do not know.

Go to Help > Check for Updates and then follow the links that are labeled "Check
for Updates". You have not applied Service Pack 1 yet and it will fix your
problem.
