pictures open in windows instead of picture manager

I can't get my pictures to open in windows, they automatically open in
microsoft picture manager. How can I get them to open the way they used to?
Please help I am very new to this program and it was on my computer when I
got it. I didn't know how to use it, the trial expired and while trying to
access a template for a project I somehow got all my pics to open it the
picture manager which I don't like.

Right-click an image, properties, opens with... change. Select the program you want
to open the image. You only have to do this once for each extension.
