pinstripe publication design has no stripes?

Microsoft Office - Publisher 2003, trying to create a calendar using
pinstripe. The pinstripe is missing from the design. Can anyone tell me why?

If you have a monitor like my monitor it will sometimes not display very thin
lines. Have you tried actually printing something with it to check to see
what the output is?

It is missing on my pinstripe calendar too. Select the background, fill, fill
effects, pattern tab, use the pinstripe pattern here as a workaround.
