I am mostly an Excel power user and on my Macbook i cannot find where the list box arrows are on the rows to filter out unwanted data. is it because Mac Excel does not allow this function?

The AutoFilter buttons don't show up unless you:

A) use the List Manager to define your data as a List, or

B) turn the feature on via Data> Filter> AutoFilter.

If this doesn't answer your question please put some of that "power user"
savvy to work & provide a more explicit description of what you need :)

Sorry - I missed the reference to "Pivot Table" in the Subject line - please
disregard my previous reply.

Put the field you want to filter by in the first row of the sheet where it's
labeled "Drop page fields here". You can add others on the row beneath it if
you need to in order to filter on multiple criteria.

Hope that's what you needed to know.
