Pivot tables Excel 2007

After making a connection to a cube, and the Pivot table boxes show up in
Excel - all my Dimensions show up UN-collapsed - and there seems to be no
easy way to collapse them all at once. Does anyone know how to collapse
them at start up or collapse all ?

Does anyone have a solution to this? When you have a cube with 30
dimensions and all the attributes are expanded - it's scroll hell trying to
find things. Is there any way to make all the dimensions all be collapsed?

Yes, there is a way, but not with Excel prior to 2007. If you want to take
this path you will step into the completely new "world" and here is why: If
you want to publish your Excel 2007 pivot table and to have all of pivot
table functionality (drag and drop columns, move them around and this sort of
things) you need to publish it in the SharePoint 2007. But there is one
"small" catch, you need to have an Excel Services enabled in the SahrePoint
server and it comes with the Enterprise version ONLY. The setting of Excel
Services on the SharePoint and proper connection to the Analysis Server is
another stumbling block.

This is not to discourage you, it is more to make you aware what you are
facing.

Good luck anyway!

Cheers, Marin
