Placing endnotes at the end of each section in a table layout

I use tables to divide the text of a long document that is divided into
separate sections (using continuous page breaks at the beginning of each
chapter of text inside the table). I am trying to place the endnotes at the
end of each section usnig the Footnote and Endnote options dialog box - which
is set to place the endnotes at the end of each section - yet ALL endnotes
remain located the end of the long document. Is there a problem because of my
use of a table format?

Try using Next Page section breaks instead of Continuous, and make sure the
endnotes aren't suppressed for a given section (Layout tab of Page Setup).
