I'm a new user in access and not much of a programmer. I may have bitten of
more than I can chew. I have an Access form in which one of the elements is
supposed to be a Powerpoint presentation using timing to automatically change
the slides at a given rate. I can create the element and open the Powerpoint
file, but it will not activate the the timing function from Powerpoint. The
slideshow only changes slides in the Access form when the user clicks the
next slide option. It works perfectly in Powerpoint.

The following link doesn't exactly explain what you are looking for, but does
cover a lot of info related to working with PowerPoint from Access. It might
give you some ideas.

Perhaps create a simple timer loop to move to the next slide. Also, you
might want to post your question in a PowerPoint forum since it does relate
to PowerPoint automation and coding. They may be able to advise you with
specific code .

How did you setup the powerpoint in Access? Did you set it up as a linked
OLEUnbound object so it runs when you doubleclick it? It should run with
timings if you do it that way.
