playing video in Powerpoint

When I insert video into PPT (2002 sp3), it’s appears as a black box and
won't play. Actually it seem like playing as you can see the mouse cursor
change but only a black box is visible. I can play the video and windows
media without problem. I try to change the name but still the same please help

Move the movie to the folder where your ppt file is. Then, insert the movie
again to see if it works.

It may be that you don't have the needed codec installed on your system. Go to
Start > Run and type
mplay32.exe to open the media player that PowerPoint uses. Then open and play
your video. Does it play? If not then it won't play in PowerPoint.
