The %userprofile% is generally found on the system drive (C:) and it's path
is normally c:\Documents and Settings\%username%

What operating system are you install Office 2003 on to?

The OS requirement for installation is:
Microsoft Windows® 2000 with Service Pack 3 (SP3),
Windows XP
or later

So if your using 95, 98, 98 Second Edition, Windows NT 4.0, Windows ME then
i'm afraid your out of luck

But assuming all the above are correct and you are using Window 2000 SP3 or
newer then have a look at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;886549 That KB
article just get you to check the user shell extensions.. and make sure they
are as MS expect them to be..

Good luck
