Whenever I open a particular document it opens two toolboxes (control toolbox
is one of them), and there is no way I can make them NOT open when I open the
document :-(

Where is this information stored? Is it a part of the document? Template?

Please help - it is soooo anoying...

That document has some control (text field, combo box, option button, etc.)
from the Control Toolbox and/or a macro stored in it, and your macro
security level is set to High (in Tools > Macro > Security).

Here are your options:

- Find and delete the control and/or macro. (If you do that and the toolbox
continues to appear, try saving the document as an .RTF file, then opening
that file and saving it again as a .DOC file.)

- Go to Tools > Macro > Security and set the level to Medium. Each time you
open the document, you'll be asked whether to enable or disable macros. If
you enable, all will be well; if you disable, you'll get the control toolbox
again. (Setting the level to Low is not recommended, since then you'd get no
warning if a document contains a malicious macro virus.)

- Digitally sign the document, and accept the signature certificate. This
will work for macros, but I'm not sure it works for toolbox controls.
