Poor performance with Access 2007

I have a new computer with Access 2007 installed. I opened an .mdb
application created under Access 2003. The application runs but is
incredibly slow compared to how it ran on a slower computer under Access
2003. Queries that take 3 or 4 seconds under Access 2003 require 2 or 3
minutes to complete under Access 2007! The application reads linked tables
from an SQL database. It has macros. I disabled security to get it to run
under Access 2007 but have not changed the application itself in any way.
Does anyone have any suggestions or insights into this problem?

Can you delete and recreate all the table links? Just guessing but
there may be some bad cached table meta data in the table links.

Any amelioration if you try to change the format of the file to ACCDB? or
create a brand new ACCDB file and import everything into it?

If you take a look with the SQL-Server Profiler, do you see anything
unusual?

I deleted and reestablished all links to the SQL tables. This did not
improve the poor performance I have seen. I then created the application in
the new Access format .accdb. Again, there was no improvement in the
performance.

I can now report that this poor performance is exhibited on two computers
running Access 2007 but not on three others still running Access 2003.

There have been many reports of high unusual activities that can be seen
with the SQL-Server Profiler when using an Access Data Project 2007 (ADP)
against SQL-Server (either 2000 or 2005).

Do you see anything unusual if you take a look with the SQL Profiler when
running your 2007 MDB or ACCDB files?

That was the only thing I could think of so I'll now bow out of this
