Portfolio Analyzer Questions

Hi All,

I am currently setting up a portfolio Dashboard and I am trying to stay
within the realm of the Portfolio Analyzer as I would like to use it
within Sharepoint Webparts.

I currently have as enterprise outline codes for each project that show
which funcional area each project falls under (i.e. Databases or
Security). I would like to generate a chart which shows how many
projects are in each functional area (i.e. how many Database projects
do we have).

Is there a way to generate this number as a graph-able total? Or do I
have to start looking at exporting my data to something like excel or
SQL Reporting Services? Currently I see a very limited set of totals.

Thanks in advance,
Andy

In the Portfolio Analyzer, I do not believe there is a Count function to do
what you wish. Therefore, you would need to export to Excel or use another
application such as SQL Reporting Services. Hope this helps.

Dale,

As always you are helpful, and I do appreciate your answers.

I am amazed by the lack of functionality that Project Server Exhibits.
If you want to do project level reporting or logic there are so many
hoops you much jump though. Even for a simple procedure "What is the
next Milestone?"

Thank you for your help.

Andy
