When I open Power Point and I hit the Office button, New is grayed out and I
cannot start a new side. How do I get new to be available?

Hi,

Has PowerPoint been activated? Home button| PowerPoint Options| Resources
button| Activate Microsoft Office.

Else, do you get a new presentation when you hit the shortcut keys <Control
+ N>?

If that doesn't work, try the Run Microsoft Office Diagnostics on the same
area of the PowerPoint Options dialog box. Please let us know how you get
on.

Hi JCY,

Is this about PowerPoint 2007? I'm not familiar with that version.
But upto (including) version 2003, you can add a slide to a
presentation (how come "start a slide") by <Ctr-M>.

Good luck, Frans
