Power Show Problems

F

Fran McConville

I've downloaded PowerShow, finally got the add-in loaded, now trying to set
up the show. In the PowerShow session settings dialogue box, I can select
'design view follows show', but the 'save settings' and 'start show' buttons
are greyed out. If I close the dialogue box and View Show in the Powerpoint
menu, I can see the show on one monitor, the design view on my laptop, but
the slide thumbnails on the left hand side are not displayed, they appear as
empty boxes. With a single click of my laptop mouse on them, I can get them
to appear, but that immediately breaks the show off, and I can no longer
advance the show on the second monitor..

Can anyone help?

It seems to me that your would need to update the video/graphics drivers on
your machine. Please download the latest display drivers from the graphic
card vendor's website. The ones that come along with the operating system
are almost always old and updated ones can be downloaded from the vendor's
website.

ok, I just now read your other post. Sonia and Troy has offered great advice
there too.

Try updating the display drivers on your machine and see if the problem goes
away. Also, try changing the hardware acceleration after updating the
display drivers to the latest ones.
