powerpoint 1997 animation effects

Can anyone please supply a list of the available animation effects in
powerpoint 97.

This is because I am creating in xp but the file needs to be run in
powerpoint 1997.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

The following link is to information for version 2000 and 2002. I'm fairly
sure there were no changes between 97 and 2000, so 2000 should be
comparable:

Glen's given you a link with a list, but your best solution will be to
go to Tools/Options/Edit and turn off the new animation effects in PPT
2002 (aka PPT XP). This will effectively put you in "2000 mode" -- which
is comparable to PPT 97 as far as animation and transitions.

Oh, also stay away from picture/numbered bullets and animated GIF files
for PPT 97 compatibility.
