PowerPoint 2000 text box

You can place a text box in the master and it will appear
on every slide for that master. You won't be able to edit
the text box, however, unless you're in View > Slide
Master.

Thanks Sandy. That wasn't exactly what I was after but gave me an idea that
worked. I wanted all text boxes, whenever I wished to add one in slide view,
to default to Tahoma gold instead of TNR black. I achieved this by selecting
Master slide, ensuring that I was not selecting any existing area, then
clicking Format, Font. I set this to my required font and saved the master
slide as a .pot in the Templates folder. Now whenever I build a presentation
that requires an added text box, it employs my selected font.
