Powerpoint 2007:More problems with notes to PDF using Microsoft pl

This quarter I have been converting presentations from powerpoint to PDF for
web posting for a course. The slides have notes explaining things to the
students, so I have been printing the slides with notes. Because the default
orientation is portrait, with a huge space for notes, and the slides only
have a few lines of notes, my methodology has been to change the Notes Master
layout to portrait, shrink the notes window down to about 3 lines in between
the footer and the slide, and maximize the space for the slide between the
header and the notes textbox.

When this is complete, I preview the slides. I have found that for some
slides, the changes to the textbox size in the notes master don't carry
through, (but changes to orientation and slide size/position do), so the text
shows up in the middle of the slide. I have not reported this problem before.

When I am done previewing the slides I print to PDF using the plugin that
Microsoft has published, with settings to print notes pages, and to minimize
file size for web viewing. Additional problems that occur during this stage
have been detailed in other posts, but include (1)slides disappear and I get
blank pages, and (2) there is a memory leak that consumes large amounts of
pagefile memory until the powerpoint presentation is closed after PDF
generation.

If there is a better place for me to post these comments, where someone who
develops powerpoint actually reads them, I would appreciate it. I am about to
give up entirely on Office and switch to OpenOffice, because at least there
the developers read user comments and try to fix bugs.
