PowerPoint Compatibility with XP

Having trouble using my PowerPoint 2000 now that I have
upgraded to XP. Trying to insert a couple hundred photos
and it won't take them all, then won't even save the file
with what it takes.

Can't get any answers from Microsoft on service packs?

OS upgrades can be a source of weird and annoying pains in the software.
You might be best off uninstalling then reinstalling Office 2000 completely.

But what exactly happens when you insert the photos ... what does "won't
take them" mean? Are there error messages?
