powerpoint crashes when attempting to go into slide show view

PP opens up fine, will open any file but as soon as you go into slide show
mode, it shuts down powerpoint. anyone else seen this issue before? MS has
nothing in the knowledge base about it.

tried that, didnt work. it still crashes and it doesnt matter who logs into
the computer and it still does it in safemode as well.

Hmmm, how about your version of DirectX? You might also want to lower
hardware acceleration as this can also cause the issues you are seeing.
