Powerpoint Hyperlinks: Word files work, but not Adobe files. Why.

When hyperlinking to files, my MS Word files open up without a problem, but
my Adobe files just simply flash quickly, but do not ever open up. I have
tried action settings for using the Adobe Reader program, it will open, but
not the specific file that I want to open.
I am in the process of creating a trianing program that is interactive,
therefore I need the use of the Adobe files to make it user freindly...

Which version of Adobe Reader? I think there's an issue with 7.0 not wanting
to open from a PPT hyperlink. Updating to 7.0.1 (or whatever the latest
version is) should resolve it.
