Powerpoint Mac to PC

Recently I emailed a Powerpoint doc (Office for Mac 2004) to PC for review.
It worked. I then emailed the same document with additional content to the
same person. All they see is numbers and codes. What could this be?

Tnwriter,
All they see is numbers and codes. What could this be?
at a guess, it could be something as simple as the 3 letter (PC) filename
extension being missing.

or failing that... try 'zipping' the file (with stuffit or similar) before
emailing the file (as it could be an email problem)

Hard to say w/o seeing the file but some things to check:

- Does your email program automatically compress attached files? Tell it not
to, at least when sending stuff to PC users.

- Does your email program have an option with a name like MacBinary or "for
Mac" when you attach files? If so, turn that off when sending files to PC
users.

Both of the above are nice features that make it easier to exchange files
between Macs but which don't work with Windows computers.

Thanks so much. I'll look into these. As an FYI, I use Entourage.

Okay. It's not an email problem. I've burned the Powerpoint on a CD. The person on the PC can't open it as it's reading as a Microsoft Word document. I've divided the presentation into sections. The first section comes in through email and opens as a Powerpoint. The problem is with all subsequent sections. None of this was converted from Word. Any further ideas? Thanks.

In that case it could be something as simple the 3 letter extension on the
filename

make sure that the files have .PPT on the end of each of them

Cheers
