This is the nature of hyperlinking between Office applications. If you want
the presentation to come up in PowerPoint you should use OLE
linking/embedding ("Insert -> Object" command) instead of hyperlinking.
If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important to
have more control (as an author) about how hyperlinked presentations are
opened up from Word (or other hyperlink behaviors), don't forget to send
your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:
