PowerPoint Publish to CD

I am having trouble using the PowerPoint Publish to CD feature. My
presentation is composed with powerpoint 2007 on a Vista operating
laptop. If I play the published CD automatically in a Windows Vista
computer using the enclosed PowerPoint viewer, after a number of slides
I get weird symbols and the text gets smashed together in places. If I
just open the file off the CD using the regular PowerPoint program Slide
Show, and not the viewer, it plays fine.

The same thing happens if I play it automatically using the Powerpoint
Viewer on some XP systems, but on others, it plays fine. I could really
use some help, because I'd like the presentation able to be opened by
people who don't have PowerPoint installed on their system.

It seems to be a problem between the Presentation and the PowerPoint
player. Thanks for your help in advance,

The PPT 2007 Viewer is screwed up, as far as I'm concerned. I know I see a
lot of complaints about this.

If you have access to PPT 2003, I would use it to package for CD.

If you don't have it, you might try saving your 2007 file as a 97-2003
format file and then creating the CD manually. Download and install the 2003
Viewer from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...27-43AB-4F24-90B7-A94784AF71A4&displaylang=en

Instructions to create the CD are here:
http://www.echosvoice.com/autoruncd2.htm (Skip the packaging part, and just
put all the appropriate files on the CD as explained there.)

I would love to see the PPTX file you're publishing along with a screenshot
of what you see there once it's published and you're running it in the
Viewer. Please mail to echos at indy dot net.
