How do I add animation to an individual cell within a PowerPoint table?

Amy,
You cannot animate individual cells, column or rows.
As a workaround you could ungroup your table, and regroup all the elements
you want to animate. Bit of a pain actually, so be sure to do this on a copy
of your table so that you can easily edit and add afterwards.

If memory serves, you can't directly. What you can do is cheat. If, for
example, you wish to have an entrance animation for each cell then make boxes
on top of the text (same background as background of cells) and then have
them disappear (an exit animation for the box) when you click on them -
making it seem as if the text has appeared.
