PowerPoint Template background

We want to make our own PowerPoint Template Background. Someone told me to
use Auto Wizard but that didn't work. I was on the help screen last night
and am in a book this morning and still haven't found it. Hope someone can
give me a simple way of doing this! Thanks.

1. Open PowerPoint
2. Click "View", "Master", "Slide Master"
3. Insert your background image (if desired) by clicking "Insert",
"Picture", "From file", browsing to and selecting the desired JPG or PNG
image.
4. Change any other placeholder settings here (text colors, etc.).
5. Click the "Close Master View" button on the toolbar.
6. Click "File", "Save as", change the "Save as type" dropdown to "Design
Template - *.pot).
7. Give it a name and click the "Save" button.

Now to use it, click "File", "New", and either select it on the "General"
TAB of the dialog box (PPT 97 or 2000), or click "General Templates" on the
TaskPane, then select the template you just created.

Hope this is simple enough! Keep in mind that while on the Slide master,
you can insert a Title master and set it's designs as well. You can use any
assortment of autoshapes/logos, etc. to set the desired design.
