Powerpoint with SP2 will not save some filesas pptx, saves OK as ppt

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Made a new presentation by copying and pasting some slides from other presentations, but saving (as pptx) gets an error message: " There was an error accessing <file name>....". Changing the save type to ppt works fine. Anyone else seen this?

No, but I would guess that it is related to the problem many users are having where they can't open .pptx files with 12.2.0. Seems like SP2 has a problem with file formats.

For what it's worth, I used to have a lot of trouble saving back to .ppt files. When I got a larger drive, the problem disappeared. Maybe PPT has difficulty with a crowded disk?
