powerpoint wizard in New Presentation Task Pane

B

Burnsie

I have created a .pwz file. How do I get it to show up in the task pane for
New Presentations?

Thanks,

Burnsie

PowerPoint Templates (.PPT) files are the only files that appear in the task
pane.

Mike,

What about this statement:

If you want the user to be able to create a new presentation based on your
wizard, copy the wizard to the C:\Windows\Application
Data\Microsoft\Templates folder, or if user profiles are being used, to the
C:\Windows\Profiles\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates folder, and
change its extension to .pwz. When users click New on the File menu in
PowerPoint, they can click your wizard in the New Presentation dialog box,
and then click OK to launch the wizard and create a new presentation.

This comes from the following link:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...en-us/modcore/html/deovrpowerpointwizards.asp

Thanks,

Burnsie

Once you create your wizard and store it in the templates folder, it can
only be accessed by clicking File > New, and not in the task pane which
displays the templates stored on your system
