I have an exe file for powerpoint, but it won't open as a
mso97.dll is not found. I downloaded and installed this
dll. now I get the message cannot find PPlntl.dll Please
run P.P Setup, which I don't have. What next? This file ws
sent to me by a relative.

You can't run PowerPoint this way. As you've seen, it won't work and
besides that, it's not legal to share software this way.

If all you need to do is view an existing PowerPoint file, you *can*
download a free PowerPoint viewer:
