WRT PowerPoint 2007, it appears the only way to enter chart data is thru an
embedded Excel worksheet-- is this true?

Hi,

Yes. To me, that is good. Instead of a dodgy program running behind
PowerPoint, you now have all of the power of Excel, including formulae and
so on!

Please tell us your PowerPoint / Windows version,
whether you are using vba, whether
your cows are in the corn paddock, or
anything else relevant.

Ignore that Aussie. All the blood's gone to his head.

When you install 2007, you can choose a custom install and add MS Graph.
Then
you can do Insert, Object and choose MSGraph to get the old MSGraph you're
used
to in PPT.

But with the power of Excel, why would you?

:)
