PPT 2002 Opening large files

PowerPoint stops about 2/3 the way through when loading large files(>7MB).
Tried reloading Office XP with no luck. What should I do now?

Gene,

Thanks for telling us the version. Have you tried detect and repair (under
help) just for PowerPoint? Also, have you changed anything lately, such as
service packs? Has this problem just started all of a sudden? I also wonder
if any of the material here may help. Got to run... potatoes are cooked.

Do this before using PowerPoint seriously
