predefined value

If i put a 1 into a cell, i need it to take on predefined value (eg. 128 or
64 etc)
if i put a zero into the cell then it gives it a value of zero,

anyone know how to do this.

Cells are used in Excel. Are you talking about Acess here?

If so, where is this "cell"? How would Access know that "predefined value"?
Are you going to store it in a table that can be referenced? Could you not
simply have a combo-box and let the user select the REAL value from that
list?
