Prefill From Field

Is there a way to prefill the from field for new messages
I create or do a reply/forward? I am using Outlook 2000
with Exchange 5.5. I'm thinking since I am logged onto
Exchange, I could have Outlook use that same logon ID to
fill in the From field. Any help would be much appreciated.

Although you can specify the content of the From field in the account
configuration in Outlook, it is likely that it will not be used when in an
Exchange environment. The Exchange server will probably use whatever has
been defined for the From header for you Exchange mailbox to which you
connect. That is, Exchange will fill in the From field. Most companies
want to ensure that the From header is correct and reflects the company and
the responsible employee and eliminate their employees from inserting any
bogus content they want in the From header. You'll need to discuss what
gets inserted in the From header with your Exchange admin.
