I have a Windows XP machine that had Office XP
installed. There was a problem with Office XP, so I
uninstalled it and installed Office 2000. Since then, I
get a "Preparing to install" window in IE and other
random places in Windows. The window pops up and goes
away quickly, but in IE, it occurs when I click somewhere
in the browser and I have to click again, sometimes
several times, to get the click to register without
bringing up this dialog. I've gone through the registry
and removed all the office10 keys that I could see, I've
uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2000. Any suggestions
on how to get this annoyance to go away?
