Prevent User from Entering Time on Saturday and Sunday

T

Toby

Hi all,

Currently, if I entered the number of actual hrs into the week bucket, it will automatically proportion out to the 7 days of the week.

I would like it to be proportion only to the 5 working days. Any way to do this?

If I open my workplan in Project Professional, the saturday and sunday are greyed out. However, in my project server, the saturday and sunday are not greyed.

Please help. Thanks

This comes up from time to time. I always have to ask what difference it
makes whether work is spread across seven days or five days? The fact is the
result is not meant to be an accurate portrayal of how the work was one
done, rather a weekly bucketful. So, what difference does it make if the
bucket is 5 litres rather than 4?

The problem is in timesheet accuracy. How much time was spent for task and
whether it was Saturday or Sunday then it should be paid as overtime work.

If time-sheet accuracy is important to you, then you should use the report
hours by day tracking method. No other approach provides an "accurate"
record.
