Preview pane sluggish

Recently the preview pane in my e-mail takes a good 5+
seconds to catch up with the message i select. any reason
for the slow down? any suggestion? E-mail me with any
ideas.

If you have Outlook 2002, go to Tools -> Options -> Other and turn off
Instant Messaging integration.
