PrimoPDF problems

Roger

Ive taken notice to all the questions about converting to .pdf files and went
ahead and downloaded and installed the PrimoPDF onto my PC. However Iam
having some problems with this program now. Im using publisher 2002 and would
like to obviously converty to .pdf files.

The problem is:
I go to file>print and select PrimoPDF from the dropdowm selection box and
hit OK. After that all that happens is it says my document failed to print,
and that is it...nothing with PrimoPDF happens. I have installed and rebooted
twice and got the same result both times. I do not know what to do... and I
am somewhat confused with what to do in place of this. If someone had some
suggestions on how to help my problem and would be willing to help, it would
be very much appreciated.

Hi, Roger -

It won't really print. Do you get a Primo window that says "Browse" and also
has a choice of radio buttons: "Screen" and "Print" ?

Click "browse" and navigate to your file. (You should see the name "output"
in the file name box -- I usually change this to something relative to what
I'm "printing" -- make it VERY easy to remember - you might have to search
for it.)

Click on whichever radio button is appropriate for what you are doing -
"screen" for posting and printing from the web. - "print" for taking it or
sending it to a printer.

I forget if there is an OK or not. If there is - click OK.

It might take a while, depending upon how big your file is.

(It goes to my desktop, but you might have to use Windows' search function
and search for the file name you gave it.)

Click on the file to view it - you might get the box that lists programs and
asks which one you want to open it with. I just use Acrobat reader.)

Hope this helps.

I referred Roger to the PrimoPDF support
site because I've never seen the error he
reported:

**document failed to print**

Have you seen this error?

Hi, John -

I certainly agree that going to Primo support is the best idea.

I do remember when I first used Primo I had a lot of difficulty getting it
to "print" (although I don't remember exactly what the error messages were.)

I use Primo - with both Publisher 2002 and Publisher 2000 - with great
success now.

I have not gone to the support center, but I will first thing this morning.
Morisot I have the Primo window on my desktop you were talkin about with a
choice of buttongs i.e. "Screen" "Print" and so on. However nowhere on my
window does it allow me browse, not on the drop down box or anywhere. Another
thing is when I select PrimoPDF from the drop down box in the print section
of my publisher document and hit 'OK' the PrimoPDF window does not
automatically pop up, or pop up at all like it says it will at PrimoPDF.com.
any thoughts??? ill let you guys know if the help center is of any help.
