O/S = Windows 2000
Upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003 earlier this year
When a file is printed from Office 2003 to a HP4050 printer an error similar
to "The document is outside of the printable margins" is received. When
clicking on OK, it only prints a portion of the page. If the the document is
printed a second time it prints fine. The problem does not occur all the
time but can be 1 out of 4 documents. The same document where this occurred
can be printed later or another day from the same PC to the same printer and
prints fine the first time. This seems to rule out the document and its
margins as the cause.
Can send the print job to another model of printer (i.e. HP8150) and it
prints fine every time so it seems to be isolated to the 4050 printers.
This was not a problem when we were using Office 2000 and it started after
having upgraded to Office 2003. Problem can occur with existiing documents
and newly created documents.
Our printer support people have tried updating the printer driver to the
latest and did not make a difference.
I've also been on HP's website and unable to find anything that has been
helpful.
Any suggestions?
